
"Cold Blood-S/T-1969 US":
Cold Blood were formed in San Francisco in the late 1960's. Their powerful R&B and soul influenced rock made them a popular group in Bay Area venues such as the Avalon and Winterland. They signed for Bill Graham's San Francisco label in 1969 and released their first album that year. Singer Lydia Pense after her 1967 solo album, she joined Cold Blood in 1968. Her style has been compared to powerful singers including Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin and Teena Marie.
