"Hardwater - S/T-1968 US":

The self titled LP from Hardwater, from 1968 is a layed back West Coast style produced by David Axelrod. The band featured ex-members of The Astronauts (the surf band). When The Astronauts broke up in circa 1965, some of the band members moved to California. In early 1968 under the name of Hardwater they secured a recording contract with Capital Records. The band’s sound is a mix of Psych and Hard Rock with the distorted guitar solo like on Medley: ''My Time/Take A Long Look'' and some hard edged Pop-Rock tunes such as ''Love And I''. Nice psych from this midwestern band.
